The Harrison Executive chef Amanda Freitag joins forces with several other high-profile New York City chefs on March 8, 2010 at a culinary-themed fundraiser called Savor. This fundraiser benefits Gay Men's Health Crisis, the oldest HIV/AIDS organization in the country. The concept is this: each chef designs one course of a four-course dinner and then helps prepare it in a timed relay-type event. All participating chefs are judges on Chopped, the popular Food Network competition show. Ted Allen, who hosts Chopped, will serve as commentator as each chef prepares their course. Other participating chefs include Aaron Sanchez, Goeff Zakarian, and Scott Conant. As always, the competition promises to be spirited.
